How this site is organized :¶

This part of the web site is organized in five main parts :

• Introduction - with general information about this benchmark;
• Benchmarking - with all information describing the benchmark : methodology, test images, functions benchmarked, description of test platform, …;
• Summary of results - this section presents tabular SpeedUp results for all functions, images and platforms for two image sizes - 256x256 and 8192x8192 - and for different sizes of structuring elements;
• Detailed results - detailed results of all runs in graphical presentation or textual (console output) of benchmarking scripts. This part is divided in two sections, for each test platform.
  • taurus - a computer server with lots of memory and advanced processors;
  • nestor - a typical desktop computer.
• Final information : discussion, conclusions and some links and bibliography.
